Martin Serene is an accomplished 1st assistant director, actor, and producer with over three decades of experience at the forefront of the film industry. His career began as a runner on the sets of legendary director Tony Scott, under whose mentorship he refined his craft and swiftly rose to become one of Hollywood's most sought-after 1st assistant directors, renowned for his precision, leadership, and mastery of large-scale productions.

Beyond his work behind the camera, Martin has also made his mark as an actor, delivering standout performances in major films such as David Fincher's SE7EN and Peter Webber's THE GIRL WITH THE PEARL EARRING. This dual expertise, both in front of and behind the lens, has given him a unique, holistic understanding of filmmaking, from performance to execution.

In 2021, Martin founded RED PANDA FILMS, launching an impressive producing career. His debut production, BACON (directed by Geoff Bell of MOBLAND), earned him the Best Producer Award at the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards. He followed this success with ACROSS THE OCEAN, a short film directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Peter Webber, which went on to win multiple awards worldwide, further cementing Martin's reputation as a producer with an eye for compelling stories and exceptional talent.

Currently, Martin is in development on ELSIE'S WAY (The Leica Story), a powerful true-story drama written by Franziska Morai, with Peter Webber attached to direct—marking their second collaboration.
